Q: What should I do before my tan?

A: Exfoliate. This is the number one thing that will help your tan last. In the shower before you have your tan, use an exfoliating mitt or rough flannel with water. Some soaps and exfoliating gels leave a residue which forms a barrier to the tan, so its best just to use water.

Make sure the skin is completely clean with no moisturizer, makeup or deodorant.

Q: Can I shave or Wax before my appointment?

A: Shaving needs to be done at least 12 hours before the tan.

Waxing needs to be done at least 24 hours before the tan.

Q: What should I wear?

A: You can wear whatever you feel comfortable in. If any product gets on your clothing, it washes out. We do have disposable underwear available free of charge.

Q: How long does it take?

A: Allow 30 minutes.

Q: Can I moisturize afterwards?

A: After approx 12 hours you can moisturize as much as you like. The moisture will help your tan last longer and fade more evenly.

Q: Are spray tans safe for pregnant women?

A: Yes, however it is not recommended during the first trimester as the higher hormone levels can affect the outcome.

Q: Do you travel outside of Palmerston North?

A: Yes we regularly travel outside of the city limits for a small travel fee.

Q: How long will the tan last?

A: Approximately 7-10 days depending on skin preparation and after care eg exfoliating and moisturizing.

Q: I've rinsed my rapid tan and it's all come off, have I showered too early?

A: The rapid tans can be rinsed after 1-2 hours but they can still take 12-24 hours to fully develop. Relax and wait...the tan will darken.
